7) Learn from Different Personalities
In 1953, Richard Burton had to choose from two greatest British stage and screen legends to direct him Hamlet, between Laurence Olivier and John Gielgud whose which reputations and talents are equally celebrated, praised and respected. Their personalities, characters and acting style are however quite different.
So Burton chose Gielgud to direct his Hamlet reasoned that he would love to learn form a person whose character is totally different from him. Why? Because he will learn something new. Whereas, if he choose Olivier whose personality and acting style are very similar to himself which could be counted as his comfort zone, he will be able to find ways to collaborate with Olivier, easily and effortlessly, and therefore, is not a good opportunity to learn new things.
It can be odd and difficult to be in the same room with a different personality. Nevertheless, it can be a good chance to acquire new skills so you can make the best of your time out of it. Well, think about it.
