6) Invent on the Spot

Meryl Streep loves to do this, Benedict Cumberbatch often does it, and Andrew Scott who is my favorite actor does it all the time.

Get all your lines well-memorized and wonder into the scene bravely, be relaxed. Instead of speaking the line automatically, dare to search for the word first, and let it comes to you organically, and then finally speak it out. But always bear in mind that you have to be responsible for picking up on que!

It will make you sound a lot more natural as if it is your own word that is just discovered in that moment. This is why it is called “Invent on the Spot.”
