DON’T PRESUME YOU ARE AN INTROVERT TOO SOON, YOU MIGHT BE AN EXTROVERT, HERE IS WHY

Today is Introvert day. And the opposite of introvert is extrovert personality type. Extrovert thrives more successfully in some place for example in America. They are more competitive in Thailand, too. We know it is true as this society prefers the bright and loud ones over the quiet and shy ones …

I was born extrovert, as a kid I was open and chatty, I enjoyed hanging out with people. My teenage years changed me to become quiet and shy, I guess strict, conservative and disciplined Thai middle school culture has a lot to do with it.

So I chose to go to study communications at Chula and fell in love with acting. To me, theatre is a playground where I can play. I believe I was seeking after that bright extrovert boy I used to be, to feel like him and to get about in life like him again. After some years at the uni and almost two years in the UK, I gradually explored it by myself and was guided by a few experts and wonderful mentors, too, I have successfully revitalized my extrovert nature. Eventually, I have that luxury to be and to feel like myself again.

One thing I learnt from my personality rediscovery is that extrovert is a skill which can be learnt and a hidden quality which can be discovered. It could be thoughtless to presume someone is introvert or extrovert, too soon. An extrovert kid whose which openness and good-nature is not nourished properly could turn quiet. And it would seem like he is an introvert, but he is actually an extrovert whose potential is only not realized, yet. Imagine how wonderful it could be, if he figure out the way to be an extrovert, again?
